Our Family's Kindergarden Resources

It was amazing to have the privilege of teaching my oldest son, Zachariah, at home.  We officially started Kindergarden in September, and I thought it could be helpful (to others and myself for future reference) to share my favourite resources we used.

Home Management Book

I updated my Home Management Book, after my last child was born in April, to include her information and our new schedule with her.  I figured now is a good time to repost.

The first time I heard about a Home Management Book, I thought it would take more time then it would save.  After reading the book 'Large Family Logistics', I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did.  I'm so much more efficient now.  With hundreds of things to do a day, it's easy to get distracted.  Sometimes I start so many things I never get anything finished.  When everything is organized on paper, in one place, it's easier to stay on track.  If I don't know what to do next, I can reference the Home Management Book.

20 Minutes Of Chaos

Since I spend most of my time with a hand-full of youngins, things tend to get crazy.  There's always so much to do and everyone wants my attention.

And then there are the times when everything goes wrong.  

Keeping Down The Clutter

I'm not a pack rat.  Actually I'm whatever the opposite is.  I like keeping a few important things and anything I use on a regular basis.  I don't like clutter in my house, so I try to keep what I have to a minimum.

Our Family's Daily Schedule

I've found that making a plan is vital to getting things done at home with the kids.  I don't particularly like our daily schedule (I'd love it if the kids were all on the same sleeping schedule) but it's the most successful these days.
